Terms of Service

Draft under legal review. This document describes how Preaxa works today and will be finalized with counsel before general availability. Questions meanwhile: privacy@preaxa.com.

What Preaxa is

Preaxa is a technology platform that prepares and facilitates teleconsultations between patients and independent registered medical practitioners. Your doctor — not Preaxa — is the provider of medical services. Preaxa's AI assistant collects and organizes information; it does not diagnose, assess severity, or prescribe, and nothing it says is medical advice.

Not for emergencies

Preaxa must not be used in a medical emergency. If you believe you are experiencing one, go to the nearest hospital or call your local emergency number.

Doctors on Preaxa

Every doctor's registration is checked against the medical-council register before their profile goes live, and their name, qualification, and registration number are shown before you book. Doctors exercise independent clinical judgment; consultations and prescriptions follow the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, 2020 — including the restriction on drugs that cannot be prescribed via telemedicine, which the platform enforces.

Fees, payments & cancellations

Your responsibilities

Liability

Clinical decisions and outcomes are the responsibility of the treating practitioner. Preaxa is responsible for operating the platform with reasonable skill and care; to the extent permitted by law, its liability is limited to the fees you paid for the affected consultation.

Grievances & governing law

Complaints follow the grievance process. These terms are governed by the laws of India; the governing jurisdiction clause will be finalized with counsel.
